Comprehensive Baseball and Softball Training
At Backyard Hackers, we teach life skills while developing baseball and softball skills. Sports are a terrific place to build perseverance, hard work, teamwork and learn how to deal with short-term failure.
We make all of our programs as affordable as possible. Often, we are a fraction of the price of our nearest competitors (and truly, several times better than the competition.) It's no secret that your current instructor sends their own kids to us! They also come to us for advice about how to teach other folks' kids!
When it comes to baseball and softball, our bread and butter are individual lessons and our Off-Season Training Program for learners of all ages and ability levels. All lessons are geared toward the ballplayer's current ability, confidence and physical development. Whether you're a recreational player trying to build proficiency or a college player looking to develop an edge, we can handle anything you'd need.
The Off-Season Training matches softball and baseball players with the best instruction around. It's a small group environment. We emphasize keeping players active and challenged as often as possible.
We also have memberships to our batting cages (really our whole building) that cost the same for a month of access as a half hour at the local batting cage place!
You can also rent our building for your team's practice, or whatever else you might want to do! Again, get the whole building for an hour for about the same price as you could be a single cage at the other local places. Instead of 1 cage, get 2, and the plyo wall, and the weight room, and control over the music!
One more thing we offer is Team Training. Does your community team want to use our expertise to help them get ready for the upcoming season? We'll find a time, and one of our coaches will lead your coaches through practice. Learn what we teach. Build those arms, bats and arsenals!
Our home yard is in Appleton, Wisconsin and we'd love to be your one-stop school for the baseball geek in your life.

Practice Anytime!
Stop paying $30 for a half hour of batting cage time. We've got a much better option.
Here's how it works. Buy your membership, and anytime there isn't another scheduled event (Check the Facility Schedule here), you have access to the facility. (Please play nice with anyone else there -- divide cages as necessary and be aware of hogging space.) You can come hit, throw, or workout! We'll even leave balls out for you. Family members are always welcome, and bring 1 Guest with you (parents don't count) -- we know you have friends and teammates who want to get better too.
Maybe you want more practice at your skills from the Off-Season Training, or you just need to keep your swing fresh. This is perfect for the folks who play for a travel team hours away -- get your work in, locally!
Are you worried that we won't have time available? Don't. Our plan is that during the winter on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, there will be access to most of the place almost all day/night. Sundays will be open in the morning and Saturdays in the afternoon. With a chance that there'll be more time than that those days. Fridays and Wednesdays are the most blocked out so we can run the Off-Season Training. During the spring and summer, unless there's a lesson or a team has scheduled a practice, it'll be open for you!
Since this is Backyard Hackers, and we can be a little extra. Couple your building access with our apps. Training: Hacked will lay out your plan, and even let you plan what time to workout. While the Bullpen Vs. app will make practicing your throwing accuracy so much fun you won’t even feel like practice.
