Equipment recommendations
Plyo BallsThese plyo balls are durable, cheap and with their raised seams, can give the feel of a 'real' ball. They're even inflatable to softball size!

J-bandsVery durable! These bands offer much more than just the bands, with clips for wrist cuffs and even a baseball. If your thrower is younger than high school, make sure to get the beginner size. The kids are learning how to use them to protect their arms. Help bring that home too!

Adjustable DumbbellsCheaper and more durable than the more well-known options, these click to the correct weight in no time!

Useful for pitchers and hitters, these simple med balls are durable, cheap and get the job done. Choose the best weight for what you want to do. (Make sure you have a sturdy wall/floor to throw them against!
Plyo BoxesThese are much sturdier and have better grip than we anticipated, and only took a few minutes to put together. The handles make them extremely easy to move. There are lots of sizes available.

We go for cheap and durable. If these things can hold up against our monsters, they can do the work against yours. (They're the same monsters after all!)
Radar gunWe also have the more expensive Pocket Radar, but in the gym, with kids, this thing is perfect. The price has crept up to around $60, but it still offers awesome bang for the buck. We've found that it's within 1-2 mph of the more expensive radars. (Get batteries and a recharging station to save a ton of money!)

A sturdy, cheap squat rack with enough accessories to save you HUNDREDS of dollars.
Pocket RadarIt's small. Takes 2 batteries and accurate from a distance. It's perfect if you want good readings at games.

A simple net that you can setup inside, outside or move it with you. It's perfect for hitting or throwing into.

This is the one piece of equipment that we haven't been able to find a cheaper alternative. We have Tanner tees that go through HEAVY use that are 5 years old. Absolutely worth a slightly higher price.

This is a great self-correcting tool for helping hitters not roll their wrists as part of the swing (which is fairly common). We love how easy it is to use, and how you can still really launch balls.
